The Trafford centre is a large shopping centre in Manchester containing many high end stores. It is the UK's third biggest shopping centre and opened in 1998. It is full of lots of different historical designs such as hieroglyphics and old fashioned ships. It is supposed to represent cultural diversity and the Trafford centres history for example that the land was once owned by Manchester Ship Canal Company.
EVALUATION
The first photo in the series doesn't really fit in but I think it represents the aim of the project with the people with all their bags and I really like the way the trees are behind them on either side. My other 5 photos work together very well as a series. As I was walking around taking my photos I realised in a lot of my photos the men were sat on the right hand side of the bench. Obviously it's not intentional the people were perhaps just inclined to sit on that side. As all the benches re the same it makes it appear as though they are all the same bench or the same photo or that it was it taken at the same bench throughout the day. I like the last phot because although it is the same bench with one man sat on it like the others he is sat on the right and this deviates with the others and makes a good finishing photo for the series as it's a little different. I think if I could have taken each photo exactly the same in the sense of lighting and positioning them it would have worked much better. The first 3 appear to be similar in composition with the bench however the last 2 are from closer or further away.
