In 1904 Dr Pepper was introduced to almost 20 million people at the 1904 World's Fair Exposition in St Louis. The World's Fair Exposition has debuted many major products, such as hamburgers, frankfurters and even the ice cream cone.
In 1910-1914 Dr Pepper was known as the 'King of Beverages'.
In the 1920's and 30's Dr Pepper's mascot was called the 'Old Doc'. The 'Old Doc' was a typical looking country doctor with a monocle and a top hat.
In the 1950's Dr Pepper's slogan was 'The Friendly Pepper-upper'.
During the 1960's Dr Pepper became associated with rock and roll music and Dick Clark's American Bandstand TV Show.
The slogan for Dr Pepper changed again in the 1970's to 'The Most Original Soft Drink Ever'.
